Nice year in review. I think November's is best.

They are all wonderful, but I am most impressed by the widow skipper which looks like a biplane.

Nice job, sir. I want to know how in the heck you got that fawn to stand still for a photo.

They do it all on their own. Deer seem to have an instinctive imperative to freeze and then run. When a hunter is stalking a browsing deer and is ready to take the shot, he'll make a noise, a whistle or a soft shout, so the deer will freeze for the shot. It's one of the first things an old hunter will teach you...

This makes me wish I didn't spew so much content, as I'm too lazy to review a yr.'s worth of items or photos.

At first I thought it said "2012 Pies of the Year" and I was all set to groove on some Lemon Meringue...

That fawn was on the golf course, where the deer tend to be more blase about humans.

Not many people have the 00 club in their bag...

I guess I rate for Theda pictures.

Although the kittehs are also adorable.

Ah. The fawn in the headlights. Or, in this case, the the flashbulb. Precious.

Gorgeous, thudner. Fine, fine choices, though I would have had trouble narrowing it down to 10. You really do take some great shots.

How'd you lure that moth to your fingertip? An extra Sham-Wow?

Thanks, people!

You've heard of Imperial Walkers, Karen S.?

That's an Imperial Moth.

I'll take September.

I'm a sucker for a good sunset, so I'm with Substance on that. Although the giant freakin' moth is pretty cool too. Good stuff all around.
