And by popular demand, a spider.

Are there panties involved?

Here in the big city, when we encounter a polecat it's likely to be a hell of a lot closer, surprised, & quite likely to raise its tail at you.

These were on a golf course, M.B., and thus used to people.

I used the tree as cover to sneak up on the one in the third picture, so he/she/it/skunk looked a bit surprised. I was prepared to exit the scene quickly...

Yeah, I could hear the spider demand all the way over here... Nothing anyone likes more than spider shots!

We had a skunk living under our shed, but fortunately, he seems to have moved on or bought the farm or whatever...

Jennifer, I'm not fibbing...spider picture request.

Randal, at least one of those skunks looks like he/she/it/skunk should be named "Flower".

Back in the had a skunk in the backyard that was so tame, it would walk underneath the picnic table while we sitting around it. One night, it actually brushed up against my brother Sweetums' legs. Of course, our first reaction was to grab the none-too-bright cat, so he wouldn't do anything stupid.

I LOVE the first picture, it manages to make the skunk look majestic. If anyone ever writes a beloved children's classic about a skunk, this picture would grace the cover. Stinky Beauty would make a good title.

Thanks, BBBB. The first skunk (which is also the second skunk, btw...but at that point said Stinky Beauty was making tracks) has quite the photogenic tail (and pose).

Per whackypedia: The bushy tail is 7 to 10 inches long (18–25 cm), and sometimes has a white tip.

Doesn't hold a candle to a BADGER.

Nasty ass honey badger.
