Trail: I took the White Trail up Cacapon Mountain on Monday. Jennifer sent good weather (for one day only...it poured all night, and now it is 53 degrees, foggy, and raining).
Critters: Mouse over for common and scientific names.

Once again... nice photos! It looks gorgeous up there.
As I mentioned before, we went from low 50's to mid-80's in a day... back to the upper 60's yesterday... not sure what's on the agenda for today, but it's sunny and green and I don't care! :)
How big is that lizard? It looks cute, but I have a feeling it might be one of those deceiving ones that isn't as cute up close... and has a bad attitude.
Everything you could want to know about them, Jennifer:
Fence lizards are usually found on dry, steep, forested hillsides. "Males defend their territories during the breeding season, performing a show of head-bobbing and push-ups to intimidate other males."

I have not been down there, BDR. It's about a 2 hours and 40 minutes drive southwest of here.
Maybe I should take advantage of my current extended vacation and check it out.

Spruce Knob is pretty awesome.
I like how the "rocks" photo shows the wearing of water on that central rock, but the water is nowhere seen, hasn't been for thousands of years.
WV is a great state.
Love the lizard!!!
