Late May Flowers

While I haven't posted much recently, photography continued apace. I'm pretty sure the fourth photo is an Angel's Trumpet, although they're supposed to bloom in the fall. This plant is growing from a container in Frank Fetch Park, so being wintered indoors may have something to do with it.

Those roses are gorgeous. Makes me nostalgic for when I was growing a bunch of different ones. Oh, that smell!

Pending #2 is Allium "globemaster" with little white Achillea below.

For #5 I thought 'campanula' but fortunately I looked that up and it's not campanula.

I am advised by friends that you should not eat the Devil's Trumpet.

I concur with Smut about #2.

#5 sure looks like it has a lily stalk... and that flower looks darn familiar, but my mind is spazzing.

OK, I continued looking and think Smut might be doubly correct (I'll never say that again). They sure look a lot like Campanula punctata or "Wedding Bells".

I went with Allium and Acillea (yarrow) for 2, thank you, and decided 1 was Oriental poppy.

I'm not ready to call 5 Campanula, Jennifer, because the leaves seem wrong.

Here's a crop showing the leaves.

My sister suggested Campanula persicifolia Alba
.

The leaves remind me of my toad lilies though, but these are not toad lilies.

Once again, it's all about the orbs.

Pretty ballsy to bloom out of season.

I really like the fourth one from the top. I bought myself a very expensive Nikkon a couple of years ago when I still had credit, which I still don't know how to fucking use..so it stays on Auto all the time. sad ain't it?
