We're finally on our own.

From The War Criminal Post:
CHICAGO — FBI agents took box after box of address books, family calendars, artwork and personal letters in their 10-hour raid in September of the century-old house shared by Stephanie Weiner and her husband.
The agents seemed keenly interested in Weiner’s home-based business, the Revolutionary Lemonade Stand, which sells silkscreened baby outfits and other clothes with socialist slogans, phrases like “Help Wanted: Revolutionaries.”
The search was part of a mysterious, ongoing nationwide terrorism investigation with an unusual target: prominent peace activists and politically active labor organizers.
Wrong, War Criminal Post, these are the usual suspects.

I honestly wish they would. Full on, gloves off, come at us all. Hard.
Because I look around and I don't know what it will take to get people to fucking DO something. The system has built its own safeguards and firewalls - you can change the people, but the REASON behind them stays the same, growing larger, more powerful and less accountable.
Look. How shall I say this? I'll try to be circumspect. There is a spectrum of political action - but at its root it all comes down to fear. Those who demand change must have the capacity to hold those in power at risk, or at least hold those things they value at risk.
Until the cost of brutality, oppression and the suppression of dissent is raised to the point of being higher than its rewards, we can expect nothing but further brutality, oppression and suppression of dissent.
Ordinarily, in a democracy, the people could change the system at the ballot box, rather than merely the interchangeably corrupt puppets. That no longer being an option, I'll leave it as an exercise for the reader to consider the remaining options...
There sure are more people with free time.
Need I point out the origin of political power?
Clue: It's not "rights given by gawd."
And why is Joey Ramone's face on that Neil Dung video?
Last one: R U sure meta marci sf is a him?
Nothing is going to happen in America until Americans feel they have no recourse but stabbing fuckers in their collective eyeball.
Police brutalizing some dude down the street they don't even know, $4/gallon gas and blowing up brown people overseas aren't the catalysts and never will be.
Not that we have one, but Kent Brockman was right.
You've got a point there, M.B.
Consider metamarcisf to be he/she/common tater.

Hell, most people cheer the cops on when they beat up "that" guy.
