The delicate flowers in the second one looks like sweet peas (my mother planted those religiously every year, but I'm not sure the stem looks right. I'm thinking it might also be some kind of morning glory. What is it, thundra??
First: are those mushrooms magic? Coprinopsis atramentaria. Good eating if you pick them before they melt into ink but they will FUCK YOU UP if you are drinking at the same time. Or so I hear from a friend.
I recall when I got one of my better Monarch butterfly pictures, it was on one of these bushes outside this same garage. I thought it was a hibiscus back then, but they have plenty of Mandevilla planted there, too. Maybe I'll ask next time some one is out there working on the garden. ~
I was thinking that one looked like a hibiscus, but don't know if they winter there... I was also thinking they look like a clematis... especially the one on the right.

The columbine are pretty. Ours just opened.
Pretty pictures, as usual.

That's a picture of Smurftown.
Bridesmaids!
And I hope that's the father of the bride.
I love the built environment on that corner. Awesome, old, and falling apart.
Hey...I resemble that!

Bougainvillea
Really? Maybe I'm just thinking of the classic magenta/purple ones and the white is throwing me off. I also think of them in huge hanging clumps.
Foliage. We used to have that here until the permafrost took over.

LOL

So do I. SOMEone has to pick up the bar tab.
I finally got around to making some alt text titles for those flowers.
I believe S.C. is correct, in fact those look like Bougainvillea (Spectoperuviana Group) 'Mary Palmer'.

None of these winter here, Jennifer, those two are in pots.
And all the ones along the fence (I'm pretty sure they are Mandevilla) get replanted there each year.
P.S. I walked by the park where the Bougainvillea is, and I was told that plant gets taken inside in the winter.

Wow, those are shrooms! too cool.
