Where are the effing butterflies?

P.S. I don't see the nuthatches much in downtown Columbus. Robins and sparrows are here in abundance.

Those are the sidewalks of German Village here in Columbus, Von. Nice and old-timey, with bricks and all.

BBBB, I didn't think of that. Mostly, I'm tired of effing winter.

P.S. I have a video bit of the three sparrows. On the one hand, it came out very shaky (without image stabilization, it's very hard to get steady video on the G12...now try it on ice). On the other hand, the opening shots were pretty clear, for video. Maybe I'll add it.

I tell you, you are the Orb Whisperer! You are gifted!

And... ROBINS?!?! Do you have them year round?? I seem to recall my sister saying they wintered there. We don't have them all year so when I finally see one again, you'll hear me scream, without the help of a blog.

It was around 11 degrees out when I was last around the sparrow village there, and a couple of robins were about.

They looked so dejected...they were not handling the cold as well as the sparrows. Pics to come!

I saw a mockingbird yesterday and, to my great delight, the kingfishers have spent the winter here. Even better, I saw a whole bunch of eagles yesterday.

See folks, the modern way of saying that it was pay day. "I saw a lot of eagles yesterday". Not, as our fathers would have heard, "The Golden Eagle shits today"

I really hate that I laugh a little when I see the word "nuthatch."
