A Song For Wisconsin

Recall elections are being held tonight in Wisconsin.

A certain zombie and friend from Milwaukee blogs here. And at First Draft, another collection of links for news junkies.

In other news, more details regarding "Super Congress" are emerging. No one should be surprised when it decides that the way to pay for wars, tax cuts, and bailouts for plutocrats is with cuts to Social Security and Medicare. That's been the plan all along.

I'd also like to link this post from Yves Smith, one of the bloggers filling in for Glenn Greenwald at Salon this week. The people who ruined our economy are doing just fine better than ever, thank you. And they think the rest of us are far too comfortable.

UPDATE: The effort to retake the Senate fell one seat short, with two of six Republicans losing. Over at Fred Hiatt's wretched hive of scum and villainy, torture fan and former Bush speechwriter Marc Thiessen scribbled:

Last fall, when Republicans wrested 20 state legislative chambers and 10 governorships from the Democrats, some on the left refused to accept the results.

Remember after the 2008 elections, when Republicans accepted the results instead of filibustering every single thing?

Me neither!

Instead of accepting the results and pitching in to help repair the country that Bush and Cheney had left a smoking crater, Senator Mitch McConnell said, ""The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president."

So tell us Marc, you pathetic, torture-loving hypocrite, why do you Republicans hate America?

Zombie Weather

As predicted by zrm over at BBBB's place, thunderstorms arrived in the ittdgy™³²®© neighborhood before 7 A.M. on Friday.

But the real deal showed up in the evening. Yes, there was thunder, lightning, hail, and the power went out.

And lookie here, overnight lows will be 62 degrees or less. I might even stop running the air conditioning at night! Randal Graves should be thrilled.

P.S. Here's an example of some storm damage over in German Village.

Wisconsin news

Via Wonkette, I've learned that all 14 of Wisconsin's Democratic State Senators have skipped town to avoid Scott Walker's attack on state workers. Furthermore, they have awarded Lena C. Taylor one (1) internet:

Wisconsin’s State Senate Democrats are now officially hiding from police in a “secure location outside the Capitol.” So they must no longer be in the state, because when you think Wisconsin, you think danger.
The porpoise of my posting all this? For ZRM, this comment:

Spam Spam Spam...

I clicked on my spam filter yesterday, just for the halibut. Here's a typical sample:

However, I also found this:

ZRM and J—, at long last your comments have been freed!

Everybody sing along now...and take note of the youtube comments!

P.S. I just realized you won't see the youtube comments unless you doubleclick the video and open it up at youtube, so...

Zombies and the World Wrestling Federation

WWF, because Connecticut's U.S. Senate election features Linda McMahon. The liberal biased New York Times recently posted a hit piece sent by an anonymous McMahon campaign worker about McMahon's opponent, Richard Blumenthal. Obviously, when the NYT has news of something trivial like an Administration illegally spying on its citizens, they hold it until after the election. BUT THIS WAS IMPORTANT!!1one!

Zombies, because ZRM put up some posts and comments that I happened to read in the last few days. On this blog, I am the DECIDER of what is or isn't news.

Soooooooooo...How to link the two? Space Ghost, that's how.

Furthermore, I've learned that the Foo Fighters do not, in fact, Fight Foo. Also.

(Note for Chrome Beach: You can change the youtubers to fit your blog, as well as the other way. I use width="400" height="324" in the embed code.)

In other news, Aunt Snow reminds us that today is Pink Saturday. I'm participating, but not following the rules. Surprised?

Happy Zombie Day, ZRM!

It has come to my attention that Show a Zombie Some Luv Day has once again shambled around.

So have a drink on me, ZRM! Forget about the check, we'll get hell to pay.

P.S. I've been taking plenty of pictures. Spring in Ohio is pretty nice, once it gets here (and it'll be gone all too soon). I just haven't gotten around to putting any up.

UPDATE: ZRM mentioned Bon Scott, who was a zombie by the time AC/DC hit Rio in 1985. Here is Bon Scott.
