This is my comment on Bill Keller's blog yesterday. (As yet, unpublished.)
The war with Iraq was much more than a blunder, and the Bush Administration did not stumble into it blindly.
On January 26, 1998, the Project for the New American Century sent a letter to President Clinton urging regime change in Iraq1. Many of the signatories would later become G. W. Bush Administration members, including Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz, and Undersecretary of State John Bolton.
According to Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill, the Bush Administration was planning on invading Iraq well before 9-112. But it was 9-11 and the climate of fear that followed that provided the opportunity to push the nation in war.
They were not alone in this effort, Bill Keller. The New York Times and the Washington Post were crucial in helping peddle Administration lies about Iraq. And while Judy Miller was dismissed for her role in the Scooter Libby affair, her co-author on many of the Iraq stories, Michael Gordon, remains on the New York Times staff (as do "pundits" such as Thomas Friedman and David Brooks)3.

II. Salute to ZEGS
The Zombie-Eyed Granny Starver gave a speech last night. Commentary from my blog fiends: here and here.
There are the songs on his iPod which I’ve heard on the campaign bus -- and on many hotel elevators. He actually urged me to play some of these songs at campaign rallies. I said, ‘I hope it’s not a deal-breaker Mitt, but my playlist starts with AC/DC and ends with Zeppelin.’

Go ahead with the spider machinery!
This takes OODLES of planning in order to do it in the laziest way.
I don't mean to sound bitchy, but Ryan and his wife are kinda...well, not that attractive. I'll leave it at that.
Wow, holding the press accountable for being total cheerleaders for the war? I'd accuse you of being a decade late, but I bet you pretty agin it back in 2003.
That grasshopper photo is A.MAZ.ING.
If he taints the Mekons with his affection, I refuse to vote for him.
But you'd vote for him otherwise?
