Looks kind of misty and chilly for golf! But, you must be like The Skimmer who will even golf in the, gulp, rain!

Nice shots, thunder.

It actually rained 4 inches that afternoon, beege.

The lightning persuaded us to leave.

I love the dragonfly pics, but what about the damselflies? Any damselflies by the lake, old chum?

Here's one, B^4.

There aren't many amongst all the dragonflies. I had a nice pic of one I took in July I didn't end up using...now I have to find it.

The blue fronted dancer is rebelling against her parents and bleached her hair.

Why do you always run perfectly good nature shots with that hideous blight upon the green lands of milk and honey, golf?

Bambi loves the golf course more than bread itself, R.G.

Holy SMOKES. You don't get the full idea of how stunning this batch is unless you embigefy. The one of the side view of the moth is a stand-out, even in this particular batch. Now I'm wondering if there's a way to use your misty golf courses.

Already commented on these cool shots in my reply to your comment on my post...

To repeat: good work!

Thanks, vs!

P.S. The G12 suffered somewhat in the aftermath of the 4 inches of rain. Now the LCD screen does not provide a preview...it just glows a deep purple.

This makes it difficult to tell if the camera is focusing on your intended subject, or perhaps a leaf a foot or so behind it.

I'm back to the Canon A710 for now...

George W. Bush played golf. Also Barack Obama. And Hitler golfed until Red Army troops made him hook one off the tee and into a bomb crater.

The rain would cool things down here in our hot Texas weather. I was to play golf this morning but my car broke.

For those dear hearted golfers, everyday is a good day for golf! Your grey photos dazzle with some hints of lovely color and life! Some of your special nature moments!

There is always a lot of wildlife on my golf course and I don't mean the players. If you can see the flight of the ball it's OK for golf.

Dude, OWN IT. Say it's a new kind avant garde of photography called "New Focus."

Dragonflies are among my favorite. I can't wait to go visit my parents up north -- this is the perfect time of year for them.

Please email me to let me know when you are dropping Theda off.

Theda is clearly looking to play with Lucy.

Those pics are absolutely superb. Particularly the two common Pondhawks and the blue fronted dancer. The delicacy of the wings against, in two of the shots, textured wood and stone are so good, but the really perfect one is the pondhawk balancing on a tiny reed.

You are a really good nature photographer. Are you a professional?

Thanks, GIlly, I'm just a shamateur!

;-)

The Canon G12 is a very nifty little camera. All it take is that, a butterfly and dragonfly-rich environment, and some patience.

I've got some open spots on my walls looking for art. I could probably fill 'em with any of these. Your work, as ever, is remarkable.
