So I made it back home with no more than the usual ankle-spraining, except for the very last part of the hike when a step on a leaf-covered rock resulted in my left ankle hurting all night. It seems to be fine now, though. See what I do for all you kids?

No, you're right. Hike was on Monday...at least I got the date right.

P.S. Glad to hear it's still Tuesday after all! I thought I'd missed my movie night out with Deborah!!!!! :o
Thank you, thundra. I was about to call the ASPCML.
*rubs hands together* "You'll lichen the view"? *groan, applause*
It doesn't embiggen enough for old eyes, but that looks like quite the ferocious ridgeline - about 400+ near vertical feet and like seven hundred up from the bottomland.
If you're north aligned, that valley to the west and the streambed farther west is about the most defensible position I think I've ever seen. You should put some rations and gear out there. They couldn't get you out of there with NATO...
I love Capcom, they've made some great games over the years.
Watch it, dude, you're getting old, and hiking in a motorized vehicle just isn't as fun.
