Tom Petty doesn't want Michele Bachmann using American Girl

Katrina and the Waves don't want her using Walking On Sunshine

How about something from Dr. Demento's catalog?

In the interests of political campaigning existing solely to entertain me with its inherent clowning that frankly, needs to rediscover pushing the silly envelope, why not this?

Brando said...

Might I also suggest this.

Can I just say how proud I am to be her constituent? It's like one of those horror movies where you know a bunch of your neighbors are pod people, but you can't identify them until it's too late.

Definitely. This may work, too.

Randal, that album (along with Foghat - Fool For The City) is one of the first two I ever purchased.

Brando, that's a good selection. It was one of the ones mentioned in the comments at Tengrain's Tom Petty post.

(I went with American Idiot...not until this morning did I recall Dr. Demento.)

MAybe this?

Anyone mention "Insane in the Membrane' for Batshit Bachmann's theme song? I think it's possibly the best one!

That, my friend, is blasphemy. The only thing Bette Davis and Michelle Bachmann have in common is that they both have vaginas...presumably.

Zombie.

I really like this jacket but the sleeves are far too long.

Brava VS! Well said woman!

Motorhead! That would be a great one too for Batshit Bachmann and her chunky homophobic-as-hell hubby.

Jeez.

Is this the department of missing the point department?

Ol' One Ell isn't seeking our vote. She doesn't expect it, and frankly, doesn't want it. In fact, in the category of "savvy politicians", she GETS that lefties aren't going to support her, while our fearless President keeps chasing right wing votes he should be smart enough to know he's NEVER going to get.

The thing to recognize, is this is HER time. Seriously, look around you. Do you see the Republican electorate demanding more moderation, more compromise, more "centerism"? Do you see them flocking excitedly to the Mormon twins, the Pizza nut or something called Thaddeus McCotter?

Nope. 2012 is a jihad, and they want their suicide bombers. They don't want some kind of compromise, and they don't care if they break it - Pottery Barn Rules are hereby suspended. You'll notice the bloodless technocrats are trying to sound like nutjobs, and rather than demanding more wars against other nations, they're demanding wars against that large segment of America they don't approve of.

Nope. Maybe they can't play Petty anymore, but in the words of Springsteen, She's the One...

Mikey..personally I thought this was a fun thing today..but you brought serious into it, so let me respond to that.

A good blogger bud has posted a quote from this article about Batshit:
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/g/a/2011/06/29/notes062911.DTL

Denise culled a cute quote from the article, but the writeup is dead serious:
Yes, Michele Bachmann is running for president. Michele Bachmann, fundamentalist Christian zealot, paranoid isolationist, lowbrow conspiracy theorist, heavily shellacked automaton, anti-choice anti-gay anti-everything neo-Stepford throwback and easily the flat-out nuttiest female ever to raise a hugely depressing $13 million for her clumsy campaign launch, Michele wants to lead us all to salvation.

Well OK, not all of us exactly, mostly the whites and the rich and people who collect colorful black-light posters featuring sweaty, bare-chested Jesus riding a T-Rex into the Castro to smite the gays. But you know, that’s nitpicking.

..like your comment..the writer believes she is not to be taken lightly because she WILL change the conversation and that is all the R's really want out of her. Dc's blog is here:
http://passthedoucheys.com/2011/07/01/quote-of-the-week/

Batshit raises most of her money, ala Obama, from individuals in small amounts. Yes, we should take her seriously..to a degree. I have blogged about taking her seriously a few times lately..especially after Taibbi's piece on her.

We mock BECAUSE we take her seriously, mikey.

Besides, she gets far too much "serious" attention from Tweety and the Mouse Circus.
