Bold Chipmunk

My contribution to EileeninMd's Saturday's Critters #83:

Usually chipmunks head for a hole in the ground when frightened, but this one tried to brazen it out on the tree while I was walking Theda. Eventually he/she/chipmunk ran for it...until then Theda had her nose to the ground and didn't even notice.

Here are a couple of butterflies for Weekend Butterfly #06 at Andyslens:

A few birds who visited the suet feeder this week:

Theda's looking for that chipmunk a minute after he or she finally decide to abandon the little tree trunk, Eileen.

Good try Theda, but they're fast little critters! I really like your butterfly and the stealth like body of it, very cool! Have a fun weekend!

Love chipmunks! Explore has a chipmunk cam set up at Lake Dillon, CO and I pop over there occasionally to see if they are out and about. So fun to watch! Great series of butterflies and birds, too! Have a nice weekend!

Thanks for participating in Weekend Butterfly.
I can't for the life of me remember the name of the same brown butterfly. But I'll remember when I close this comment ;)

Theda thinks the chipmunk is in the grass! Love the woodpecker on the feeder!

The Eastern Swallowtail looks a lot like our Western Swallowtails. The chipmunk is cute, they seem less rascally than squirrels. Theda is probably not up to finding chipmunks? The birds at the feeder seem like the ones that come to feeders here more in the winter. I like the woodpecker, especially.

The Pearl Crescent is a really lovely butterfly. A smashing name for it too.

It's funny. I thought of your blog title today. We've had a tornado/storm warning on and off again about every two hours!
