Remember the Gray Catbird? It was eating Staghorn Sumac drupes.
You'll find Stagorn Sumac all along the Washington & Old Dominion Trail that passes the Luck Stone quarry in Leesburg.

My sister and her family lived in Leesburg a few years ago, it's a beautiful area.
The sumac drupes are great, dried and powdered and used as a sour "spice". You can also make a tasty lemonade substitute by soaking them for a couple of hours in water and adding a little sugar.

It is unfortunate that you are not a translator on your blog. Now I need to copy each line below photo and put on a translator. I see beautiful pictures The red flowers in the eerwste pictures are quite separate but your bird I find very beautiful.
