Metallic Cranes

My contribution to Carmi's Thematic Photographic 315 - Metallica:

The last couple of times I've walked to the Scioto Audubon Metro Park, I'd been hoping to see some wading birds up close. No such luck. But I did notice some cranes on the way back, so I took pictures of them instead.

Here are the train tracks that run between the park and downtown:

Love the cranes! Shame you didn't find the two-legged sort though. And I hope you got out of the way smartly from those train tracks!

I'm always taking photos of cranes and big trucks. My 4-year-old granddaughter is a truck fiend!

Ha! Ha! I'm happy you thought in terms of music too! Too funny. I always enjoy walking about your town with you. Hopefully you'll catch those elusive birds sometime! Great fun post!

Fooled me, too.

I'll post a pic sometime of this tree I saw in Kiawah Island in September that had over two dozen white cranes roosting at day's end. Really quite something.

Lots of cranes in a town sometimes means there is new construction or at least some work. Loved the train tracks and bridge!

I'm a crane fan too, the feathered variety as well.
