Caught Redhanded

I did but tie one fellow, who was taken redhanded and in the fact, to the horns of a wild stag.

My contribution to eileeninmd's Saturday's Critter's #49 (and a second to TexWiscGirl's Good Fences #33):

Here's a praying mantis with one of the ladybugs that swarm to the south side of the bulding on sunny fall days.

German Village fence cat:

Here's another picture of the 2nd Brown Snake I saw a couple weeks ago. This was before it puffed itself up in an attempt to look bigger:

O.K., But I might have more fences for next Thursday! Funny thing about Columbus..there are plenty of fences. Or else, the weather and season make for interesting shots of the same fences.

It's tougher to find interesting critters around here in the winter, though. Things are the opposite (fences and critters-wise) in West Virginia.

i don't mind if you link in several times!

(and that's a dog house - 6-sided to coordinate with our 9-sided house.)

Are you in Columbus GA (where I used to live) or Columbus, OH? Or wherever. The praying mantis is one of my favorite bugs, if I had to chose a favorite.

I love it! You always make my day. I'd say you did well for both girls with your photo posts! What a sweet purr-fect kitty too!

We often find the preying mantis on our fly wire doors! I don't know what that says about the inside of my house!

If the snake didn't scare you. it scares me.

But I like the rest of them.

Happy day to you.

The mantis is a very alien looking critter. I love the cat and the snake.

Praying Mantis I like a lot. I only see them in pet stores in the UK - shame.

I wish the mantis had captured one of the "enemy" rather than a friendly warrior. Nice photos!

Great shots.

I like your mantis caption, I prefer the ladybug as a predator, eating aphids, to the mantis who can eat bees and other beneficial as well as harmful bugs. But the shadow of the mantis is awesome, like a monster rising from the ground. The brown snake is so cute, such a tiny head.

The mantis is great, beautiful photos.

A lovely cat...I don't mind small snakes but I give big snakes plenty of room!

You have posted interesting photos. Your cat in the photo is very friendly! I often try to snap cats around my house but never
succeeded. They quickly run out.

I forgot to say. Your header is very lovely. That was bellow the water?

Thanks, people!

Yes, Tomoko, that is a picture of something underwater. But I don't know where it came from...I just saw it on the internet and adopted it.

I wouldn't want to ruffle or puff up a snake. But I love to spot them too.

My fave is the black kitten on the fence, but all critters are so well presented! Have a great week!
