That was a water plant with roots it was carrying. Perhaps to eat, or m else to build a nest with?

Caught in the act! Superb shots and sweet kitty! I have a dogy that can match those eyes!
We have muskrats on the job- we had a bunch of beavers about six years ago, they were relocated because they were wreaking havoc on the trees.
