Carmi's Thematic Photographic 296 is Cloudspotting.
I bring fresh showers for the thirsting flowers,
From the seas and the streams;
I bear light shade for the leaves when laid
In their noonday dreams.
From my wings are shaken the dews that waken
The sweet buds every one,
When rocked to rest on their mother's breast,
As she dances about the sun.
I wield the flail of the lashing hail,
And whiten the green plains under,
And then again I dissolve it in rain,
And laugh as I pass in thunder.
The rest of The Cloud by Percy Bysshe Shelley is here.
P.S. Now for the critters:
I think this is a tree swallow:

Of course critters! very nice photos and thank you for the Shelley poem.
I have no interesting cloud pics that I haven't already posted - none to match yours, anyway!
My junior high school English teacher used to make us learn a poem by heart every few weeks, and The Cloud was one of them. I've always loved it - and the critters add to its appeal.
(It's amazing how many of those learned-long-ago poems I still remember. Great chunks of Shakespeare, too.)
:)
That is one handsome chipmunk!

I can still recite most of Mark Antony's speech from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar.
Beautiful clouds - and I love the chipmunk! I'd never seen one until I visited St. Louis many many years ago and my hosts took me round and about (I think it was Elephant Rocks, wherever they are!) Looks like a tree swallow - ours are Barn swallows, and very beautiful too!
I was very surprised by the small size of a chipmunk when I saw one for the first time. Thanks for including the Shelley poem.
Thanks, people!

I feel an overwhelming sense of calmness, and it's all thanks to this incredible series of captures. I love how you capture not only a scene, but a sense of that scene. You "do tone" so well.
Nice shot of 15. You should have been there today. The place was wide open.
