I seriously want to hug them all. I grew up in a house with no pets - parents simply didn't want 'em, didn't really "get" the whole pet thing.
Luckily, my wife's an even bigger dog person than I am, so here we are with Frasier the wonder-dog. And seeing him as a centrepiece of our family unit has got to be one of the highlights of my day. Just this morning, I got up early and fed him. Nothing special: just quiet time with my dog.
Priceless. And, indeed, treasured.
