WKRP was likely one of the major reasons why I decided to go into media. The environment within the radio station seemed to speak directly to me. Sure, it was insanity - it was a sitcom, after all - but something clicked when I first saw it. And it continues to resonate to this day, every time I walk into a studio and the red light goes on.
