Thanks, people.

I spent a lot of time trying to get those pics (the 2nd three, that is...the first two just required my sister's wolfhounds).

The pileated woodpecker is one dramatic looking bird, very memorable.

You keep posting pictures of your foot to get the ladies all a-twitter, don't you?

Laura, the secret is the tripod and the remote. Even with tha telephoto, those birds are shy.

Mandos, thanks for pointing that out.

Error: corrected.

Agreed. But I it makes me sad and scared when fish and Mandos fight, and this is the only place to hide.

Perhaps Laura will go over and save fish, now that she's crushing on him... or crushing him. I can't keep up. And I can't watch her do that, but I could watch her put him in the freezer. :)

ITTDGY has a left foot tag? I suppose the authorities have to keep track of his whereabouts somehow.

A consistent flow of bird poop must help.

Good move with the remote, what with the disruptive noise of all those sundry gimped up limbs dragging their way across the deck.

What a beautiful bird!

"gimped up..." AND braceleted!
