A.K., when I open the door, he runs away. Now he just goes around the corner and comes back to see if there's food in the bowl, rather than tearing down the hill through the snow. But he won't come back until I go inside and shut the door, even though he's been getting food since Thursday or Friday last week.
I think now he must be a feral cat...I'd think any house cat that's been outside for over a week in some pretty cold weather would take the opportunity to come inside at this point.
P.S. I'm not seeing any squirrels in the backyard this week... ~
No wonder the kitteh doesn't want to come inside. The danger of inadvertently seeing one of these things and the resulting bain dramage is too much to bear.
Pretty snow pictures. Ours is all dirty and disgusting right now-blah!
Well, at least you got some. We got, like, this anemic 1/16 of an inch sprinkling the other day. LAME. And it's 50 freaking degrees today. It's not like winter is my favorite season, but damn.
I only mentioned the s-word as further proof that TCWNN has moved on. In addition, there's a bowl of cat food I put out there 3 hours ago sitting untouched...that hasn't happened since he first got some.
I think you're right about the fur, he doesn't look overfed up close.
What? No woodpecker? I've got your downey woodpecker and a mess of squirrels. They hang upside down from the dogwood to eat from the feeder. And they get mashed on the road. That makes me cry.
Yes we have no woodpecker photos**...I've brought in the camera because I need to get back to Columbus.
** Actually I've got tons...usually I'd take 10-40 and post the best couple. For example, photos named January 2012 q go from 001 to 118. All taken between Jan. 18 and Jan. 20. ~
When I open the door, or walk too close to the door, or make eye contact, he gets up and slinks away.
I just tried opening the door (the fire is going) and going upstairs, but no dice. He wouldn't come back until the door was shut. (He's back sitting on the mat, looking in now.) ~

Mountain Lion.
Ginger cat is playing it cool but is sizing up the furniture for sleeping places.
Also, lovely pictures Thunder.
Ginger cat is definitely scoping out the place. Ginger cat must receive more coziness!
Thank you!

it was all part of my elaborate plan to circumvent google

They're out getting fed at that OTHER house.
Hmmm.. I wonder if that kitty will ever come around?
Pretty snow pictures. Ours is all dirty and disgusting right now-blah!
((Hugs))
Laura
I saw a skwirl outside my office last week, thunder.
Apparently he couldn't get into the attic of a 50 foot tall building.
And he paid the ultimate squirrel price. Ha! Ha!
WHT THE HELL ANOTHER FUCKING DEBATE WHUT?

I'm watching it now, zrm.
We actually get NBC here (WHAG, Pittsburgh).

My concluding statement.
"Could there be three more unlikable liars than Mittens, Frothy, and Pig Newton?"
~
Kitteh getting closer to its target.
It was 65º in ATL today & this weekend w/ threats of tornados. Last year we had ice on the ground. Crazy la nina winter.
ooooh looks so horribly cold there !
*sending you warmness*
"Could there be three more unlikable liars than Mittens, Frothy, and Pig Newton?"
They could have added Chris Christie.
Keep trying to tame that cat - she'd love a blazing fire, not to mention watching the birdies out the window!
Heathcliff looks pretty well fed to be feral, unless he's bulked up just since you started feeding him.
A cool manip would be the kitty in the snow pic. Seriously. That would be really cool.

It warmed up here, too.
There's still plenty of snow, err slush, around, but there was no cat outside the door this morning.
Instead, squirrels.

Instead, squirrels.
Stop it, thunder. I fixed the commenting. Stop hating.
I suspect a good part of Cat-Orange's bulk is a thick winter undercoat.

I guess he's a ramblin' man.
~
He's probably just out stalking a moose, thunder.
it was all part of my elaborate plan to circumvent google
And to avoid training.
Oh my.
I love that song, and I forgot that I love it.
Or, the cat is telling me that I love it.
I'm confused **twirls hair**
Von, have you heard the mashup of that song with "Friday"?
TROO KVLT.

Now I'm humming "Yes, we have no woodpeckers" to the "Yes, we have no bananas" song.
You are never going to get the cat to come in if you keep trying to tempt it with peat moss.
They hang upside down from the dogwood to eat from the feeder
Any excuse to post this video.

You have to "Cheshire" the cat up.
It is one good-looking cat- I'm partial to the marmies, though. Would you consider (if it ever came inside) bringing it to Oh-high-ho?
That squirrel video is funny, but I felt guilty laughing at it. I think the squirrels outside are plotting against me now.
Thunder - You are one prolific photographer. Now let that kitty in side!
When I open the door, or walk too close to the door, or make eye contact, he gets up and slinks away.

That cat is a tease! I believe I hear muffled applause from many paws behind me.
I think the squirrels outside are plotting against me now.
Oh, yes they are. I can tell you that as a certainty. Defend your attic.
Ahem, B^4.
J/K. I know you're catching up.
