P.S. The Christmas cactus (purchased from the Union Square greenmarket in the late 1980s, along with its friends) just finished blooming. Ever since I moved to Ohio, it thinks Christmas is in late February.
I saw this on the teevee so it may not be true. BUT they said that the male sparrows have the black patch on their chest. As they get older the patch gets bigger and the younger males will defer to them. They said that there are about 3 levels of seniority in the sparrow world and they gave them military names. Private, Sargent and Captain. I suggest that Thunder knit a sweater with a black patch on the front and rule Sparrowtown and teach them to catch orbs.
My Christmas cactus (handed down from grandma who got it from great grandma)blooms around Thanksgiving. If I want it to bloom at Christmas, I have to stick it in the attic for fall, making it go to sleeeeeep!
But February?? You've got a psycho-cactus on your hands, thundra.

Egads! It's like the ground is moving!
You need to let ol' honey badger loose on them.
Sadly, So!
The camera does not have image stabilization in video mode, so that makes things tricky.

"Who Run Sparrowtown?"
That's easy, The Mighty Sparrow!
How many moves did this cactus survive? I'm impressed!
Now these are some sparrows.
Yikes, Subby, an umbrella is essential at all times, I would imagine.
Every day is Christmas in beautiful Ohio.
My gosh...that last picture is book/frame-worthy. Just lovely.
Life is so pretty, in your world.
