John Nichols Writes the 2nd Stupidest Thing I've Read All Day

John Nichols at The Nation, mouse over for captions.

Here's John Nichols' bio.

Seems nifty enough, but this post was right from the playbook of Mark Halperin and John Harris. There was never a significant chance of Craig Deeds winning in Virginia, as John Nichols noted.

NY-23 is one of only two remaining districts in the United States where at least part of the district has not been represented by a Democrat since 1852.

As for New Jersey, here's Eric Boehlert:
What's also astonishing, and this is absolutely ignored by the press, is that the NJ race is only close today becuase the GOP candidate has lost a double-digit lead in recent months. It's only close because the GOP candidate's campaign has imploded since the summertime. But the press doesn't care about that, or what that might say about the GOP. The press only cares if Dems lose.
So what is it to be, John Nichols? If you want a job with the Washington Post, you're going to have hump right-wing thigh more convincingly. Fred Hiatt and subtle are incompatible. If you want to be a good journalist, then stop insulting our intelligence with garbage like this. Hanx in advance!

UPDATE!

HA HA HA!

Red State is the go-to site for completely crazy conservative ranting. Unreal how he spun that NY election.

How can you read this stuff on a daily basis and NOT go insane? I can't even read it anymore... not even for reasons of morbid curiosity.

Who says I'm not going insane?

Meanwhile, here's El Fathead.

I gave it up for a while, but the unhinging has gotten so unhinged that I'm fascinated again.

AG was going down silent. But not anymore. AG has a McDonnell letter that is the gift that keeps on giving. Go to EotS!

The lesson that the Dems are apparently learning today is that they aren't going aggressively after the Independents enough.

Should I ask what No. 1 on the stupid list was?

I knew someone was going to ask, M.B.

Tragically, I've forgotten. It was something I read about at Media Matters or Sadly, No!, so that narrows it down...
