I'd Rather B Birdin'. I've been experimenting with the Canon G15 a lot lately. I suspect that it's become worn and damaged through use (and abuse, it's hit the floor once or twice), auto-mode doesn't work the way I'm used to. But it still can take decent pics, especially in macro mode. So now I'm trying other modes I've never bothered with before.

The ground feeders are a hoot. I've been working on getting my cardinal to stick around. He likes the feeder with a ridge and a rim.

Great bird shots - especially the woodpecker! Would Theda go in the lake if you let her off the lead? Our cocker spaniel would have leaped in, but the other two dogs we had would have just paddled at the edges under protest!
Birds seem to have deserted us the last two months. Thanks for my weekly dose of Theda.
Shame about damaging your camera. But you took a remarkable shot of the Turkey Vulture and those birds feeding in the garden. Maybe Santa will bring you a new camera?

love the little porch guys. our daughter feeds birds just by scattering seed on the ground -- she is very busy and doesn;t have time for cleaning feeders. The birds seem to love feeding on the ground under their big tree -- as it is obvious yours do too.

I was thinking of putting up a feeder for the birds in my garden but then again I will get lots of their droppings on my laundry. I like the last picture of your furry friend taking a drink.

Yes, we have to remember to look to the ground too. That's where most of the food ends up anyway.
i get all of those birds at my feeders too!! the nuthatches are special, they only visit during the winter. nice captures, the yard birds sure do keep us entertained!!!

It looks as though it might be getting colder your way...the feeders are getting busier here... Michelle
It would be a shame if your camera was damaged by falling! you can just go along to a photo shop and ask if they just want to look at. Maybe it's just a trifle.
