My contribution to Michelle's Nature Notes (#391).
I'm also contributing to TexWiscGirl's Good Fences #130. How about a pumpkin fence?
And Carmi has Thematic Photographic 384 - Dirty. For this, we're going to the expert:

Hugs to Theda...always :)
a punkin fence! cool! :)
Hooray another post for TP-Dirty, it's fabulous and your fence is the best, but Theda still the cutest of all!
Like the birds but Theda has the right idea - create a bit of chaos!
Hello, love the cardinal and sparrow shots. I have never seen a pumpkin fence, aren't they too heavy? Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
Theda, dirty? Couldn't be, she's too nice!
Great pumpkin fence and cute cardinals!
Oh, the camouflage on those birdies! Actually, Theda's nicely camo'd also, should she wish to lurk in the woods like a wolf.
People have all sorts of tactics for fencing heavy gourds -- making the support a tentish structure rather than fully upright; very strong fences; distributing the weight by supporting the gourds in slings (pantyhose works well according to legend); antigravity; etc.
Awwww... love the cardinal and life is so much more fun with a dog... Michelle
