Thirsty Nutkin

My contribution to Eileeinmd's Saturday's Critters #137. Everybody is thirsty this hot summer:

I'm also linking to Anni's I'd Rather B Birdin'. Here's a couple more shots from the Common Grackle visit last week.

Carmi's Thematic Photographic 377 is Softness. I was walking Theda and we ran across this mirror someone left out by the trash.

Nice candid shots of your visitors and also the "reflection." Water is such a precious commodity for wildlife. In New Mexico I had several species of birds come right up to my hose when I watered the shrubs. Here in Florida we live on a lake and are surrounded by water. We also are prohibited by local and HOA association rules from feeding wildlife, so we are at a disadvantage. The viable alternative is to plant native plants which are attractive to wild creatures.

OK Theda you look good without the mirror.

Sweet little critters snacking, and Theda looks like she enjoys that mirror. Could she be looking at your reflection in there? If so she might wonder there are two of my human!

Always enjoy seeing Theda!!
Those grackles...they're so black they're blue!

Thanks, for adding this post to I'd Rather B Birdin' this weekend for all us birders to view. Much appreciated.

I wonder if animals recognize themselves in a mirror.
I've tried to get my cat to look in a mirror, but she turns her head away and refuses to look at it.
Have a great week!
