Myrtles and Grackles

My contribution to TexWiscGirl's Good Fences #123.

The local crepe myrtles are so photogenic right now, I have to keep indulging.

One of the Common Grackles wants to know what everyone is looking at?

Mouse over pics for captions, and click them for larger versions.

Grackles sure are brassy birds! I had my first tiny toad sighting of the season tonight, so I am one happy boy.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound rude! Those Grackles look a bit like our Jackdaws - amd that crepe myrtle is fantastic! Wonder if they grow here?

Cool! In one day, here, I saw a goldfinch, a bluebird, and a cardinal. No pix, though. Still, such a riot of color in birdland.

i love those crepe myrtle trees -- they dont grow in the Pacific northwest, so we had to travel before we saw them. I'm not a big fan of grackles but your pictures make them pretty!
