Kwanzo Daylily and Mockingbird

My contribution to TexWiscGirl's Good Fences #121. Here's Theda with a worn daylily fence.

These are Hemerocallis 'Kwanzo' – a triple-flowered triploid cultivar that seems to be all the rage in D.C. (I think it's them...there's also a Flore Pleno.)

This looks like it has four flowers in one:

This mockingbird held still and posed for me. It's a bit overexposed (I tried to fix them up a little):

Gorgeous Daylily gracing the fenceline and a nice shot of the Mocking bird sitting on that fence so nicely.

That is one calm mockingbird, it must be used to modeling.

I could scratch Theda between her ears! And I love that Mocking Bird! Always imagined them more like a cuckoo - should have looked them up, shouldn't I?

You pictures of your contributions to the Theresa blog of the fence always very special. It's always an empty gate but you always see you nice itmes. This time beautiful lily flowers and a mockingbird. Really great this contribution.
