December Roses

My contribution to Eileeninmd's Saturday's Critters #104.

I saw this bed of roses saying "to heck with winter!" yesterday. I didn't expect to see any pollinators, but upon closer examination: a hoverfly.

I love bees. A bee in a garden means you have a healthy garden.

Yes, we've seen roses blooming here in Virginia too. It should be snowing by now.

How cheery to still find roses in bloom; and little bees too. Enjoy the nice weather while it lasts!

Really nice to see the roses in bloom.
In the Netherlands are now in December, a number of roses in bloom that had been meoten actually already overblown. The winter is short and the temperature too high.
Very beautiful pictures.
