My contribution to Eileeninmd's Saturday's Critters #89. I saw quite a few Black Vultures (Coragyps atratus) in Virginia this week.
A Common Blue Damselfly:
I think this is a pair of Little Glassy Wing skippers:
This is a pair of Red-spotted Purples:
Here's Amelia!

Fotos lindas ,como sempre! bjs, chica
Nice collection of critters. I like the blue dragonfly.
Poor Amelia. She looks tired out. Did you take her on a long walk?
I'm sure your mockingbird was in post-breeding moult if it's late summer and fall where you live.
amelia is adorable. :) i like vultures a lot!
The vultures on the antenna look ominous. I'm always thrilled to see a blue-green damselfly. I like your skippers, they are a different color than mine but similar form. The ones that amaze me are the Florida ones with the long tails. The Red-spotted Purples are beautiful. Amelia must have had a lot of fun, she looks tuckered out.
Great series of photos!
Cute pup!
Hello, I have not seen as many vultures around here. They must be there with you! I love the skipper and the damsel. And Amelia looks tuckered out, poor baby! Great critter post and images. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy weekend!
I bet that any vegetation near a golf course gets sprayed a lot with herbicides which is why there aren't many butterflies there...That was in response to a comment you left... I need to see if there are any ODES around...Michelle
Amelia makes me smile - the vultures, not so much but your butterflies are great!
I've only once seen vultures - these are great. The blue dragonfly - what a colour!
Give Amelia a pat for me :)
Your butterflies are gorgeous!
I'd like to see those Black vultures, quite an awesome bird!
Enjoy your sunday :)
Amelia is adorable! I love the damselfly and the butterflies. Enjoy your Sunday!
Oh my, what amazing shots of those vultures! Awww, Amelia looks all tuckered out!
Have a happy Sunday!

Enjoyed...nice shots :O]
Amelia obviously knows how to relax. Pretty dog!
Those vultures appear to like each others' company, that's for sure. Or maybe they are afraid they'll miss out on something if each go their own way. ;)
lot´s of nice critters in your post today :)
That is a lot of vultures!
Vultures ! That is a lot of them ... Be sure to keep moving when you see them circling );)). Impressed as always with your Lepidoptera knowledge! And your big dog looks lie he's had a long day. I know the feeling!
Sorry ... Looks like she has had a long day.
No wonder I can't get any cell phone service!
Lovely selection of critter in this postbut that dog has the right idea! Have a lovely week ahead.
Oh my goodness...now, that's a LOT of vultures!!!
Love the poochie!! Darling snapshot.
I often wonder if the birds have their own version of the avian Internet, where they all decide where and when to hang out. Amazing beings...what it must be like to have the ability to fly!
"Patience hell, I'm going to kill something!"
