My contribution to Eileeninmd's Saturday's Critters #82. I saw this big buck along the Washington and Old Dominion Trail on Wednesday.
When he got up to leave...
This is my best picture of a Snowberry Clearwing yet. The moth stopped hovering and parked on a leaf for a bit. It's my contribution to Weekend Butterfly #05 at Andyslens.
Here's Amelia!

Oh wow, I love the deer shots. Handsome bucks! The moth is a cool sighting and photo. And your Amelia and Mikey are sweet doggies. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post! Have a happy weekend!
from gorgeous to neat to sweet. :)
Love the buck shots and also the dogs who are flat out. Have a lovely weekend.
Excellent photo of the clearwing and the deer.
A blog with many cute critters.
First, your last photo trumps all, what a sweet loving moment, of course the others are awesome too, and that deer, very cool! Critter packed awesomeness!
Beautiful deer! And the moth .. I have a lot to learn about them, didn't know they could be that lovely. And it wouldn't be your critter post without your sweet pup!
Wonderful shots of the deer.
The Snowberry Clearwing is just a cracker of a picture. I guess this is a hummingbird moth? it also looks like a bee - I wonder why the species developed this way?
Great deer and dog photos. I like the tail under the door, its cute!
Handsome bucks and the dogs are sweet.
Great pics. Every time I try to get a good picture of a deer, it runs away before I'm able to... lol. I hope you're enjoying the weekend... :)
That's a startling surprise, 2 bucks instead of one! I would love to see the Snowberry Clearwing in action, they are fascinating moths. The dog tail under the door is so funny, it seems like a vulnerable situation.
Beautiful deer....cute Amelia...and sweet poochies.
That's a perfect rack on the deer. Beautiful. And the kitty paw under the door is priceless.

Great collection of critters! That's an impressive buck!
Good shots of the deer - and the lovely moth.
Amelia's tail - so cute! Were you able to resist the temptation to pull it just a little (gently, of course)?
Gorgeous bucks! And the clearwing is so great. Plus, I always love those two beautiful dogs!
Those deer are amazing! What great photos of them...looking right at you! I usually just see the backs of them. Enjoy your weekend! Hugs, Diane
Cute deer and pets........ Michelle
Lovely captures of critters outside the home and the ones inside.
The Wolfhounds look so worn out - too much playing, eh? :)
Have a Wonderful Day!
Peace :)
Beautiful pictures of the deer.

Hi..I will get Nature Notes up as soon as I finish it... I can't use the usual link because Wordpress does not allow java script as a safety thing so I use the Mr. Linky that is text based. Always at the end of every NN post....
Hi; Being late to visit you :-) Gorgeous and Handsome buck and I really love the title♪ Oh, what a beautiful Snowberry Clearwing (enlarged your pic); I thought it 's a kind of bee p;)
Sincerely from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
