The only cars I've seen burning were both VWs. Something to do w/ the air-cooling?

But it's usually a fuel or oil line breaking & the fuel/oil getting on a hot surface.

carmilevy said...: That's a frightening sequence of photos! Years ago, a friend of mine was in the car with her family when they smelled smoke. They pulled over and got out, then watched as the smoke turned to out-and-out flame. By the time the fire department got there, the car had been completely consumed.
