Olympics 2010

I've seen none of the Olympics, but thanks to the folks on my blogroll, I know ALL about them.

Anyone mentioned the leprosy yet?

Contrary to myth, leprosy does not cause body parts such as fingers and toes to fall off.

In that case, all we have to worry about is zombies.

Any and all injuries incurred on the monorail luge track will be attributed to user error and will reflect no shortcomings on the part of even organizers.

I've seen none of the Olympics

The last few evenings I've been watching NBC from 8 to 11:30 PM, and I don't think I've seen any of the Olympics either.

The Highway to Hell is in the Pacific Northwest? I had thought it was in Australia, for some reason.

It's in the Pacific Northwest, and it's full of hairy-backed merries, apparently.

If you are already in Australia then a highway is unnecessary.
Nugatory, even.

I did not know one was allowed to use the word 'nugatory' in a sentence without its soulmate, jejune.

Tahnks for the tip, S.C.!

The 'jejune' rule only applies to opsimaths, and is otherwise otiose.

Not that the faineant Princeton University merits mention on the weblog, but I will say that I prefer their online dictionary to the popup ad types like Merriam and such as.

P.S. This comment only intended for those riff raff who need to look up words and things, of course.
