Did you ASK the flower its name, smarty pants?
I didn't want to seem fresh. Besides, what if it was a shrinking violet?
~
It's a Roseus Plantae. The ever popular Pink Flower
The fly dressed up in a bee suit is a bee fly (surprise).
~
Looks like a dahlia.
The BF is sporting some snappy shades.
"Cee-ment Pond."
Bob?
Louise?
Judy, maybe?
Pinko Punko is probably more correct since I made up my answer .
Pinko appears to be our winner.

I agree with Pinko, it looks like a dahlia...
Woo hoo!! Spider free picture post!!

Oh... they're there, Von... they're merely hiding... but I can still feel them, and think I heard some sinister laughter...
You should market the "No Pooping Or Peeing" garden signs. I'd probably get a gross or two and simply line all my raised veggie, herb and flower beds that every cat in Chatham county seems to think are REALLY big litter boxes.
I'll be honest, I was kind of afraid to mouse over for fear that somehow a spider would appear.
Sooooooooooooooo
Everyone is comfortable with bee flies? They look pretty scary.
But they're after the same things the bees and butterflies are.
(Except for their larval stage, characterized by more sinister activities.)

Yeah! What she said!
The silly thing is... few creepy crawlies scare me. I was the kid who was ALWAYS digging around in window wells, seeing what I could find.
But spiders... well, they're a different story.
No pooping and peeing made me think of our sidewalks, which have "Do not spit on the sidewalk" etched into them.
Extra pedantry points if you pronounce it with a long a, "daahl-ya".
Double extra pedantry points if you pronounce "fuchsia" with an 'x' sound, "fuchs-ia".
Yup. It's a Dahlia.
