I remember seeing them on SNL back then.
It helped make me the zombie I am today.
Had some friends in college who had a half-assed new wave band. They were going to play a song or two on the campus TV station, for a telethon for kids with birth defects. During rehearsals, the director came over and asked them if they REALLY wanted to do THAT song.... yep, they were practicing "Mongoloid". Never struck them, really, because to them it was a song about brain-deadening suburban lifestyles.
