Our caddy today is the State Bird of Arizona, the Cactus Wren.


This is a Great-tailed Grackle. Sure is, isn't it?

Master Blister Beetle

This is a beetle I found wandering (unhappily) around in the parking lot. I gave he/she/it/Master Blister Beetle a ride to the nearest shrub with a napkin. You can read all about them here.

Paiute Golf Resort, Las Vegas

Paiute Golf Resort is about 30 miles northwest of Las Vegas, and is owned by the Paiute Tribe. We played there Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, the temperature dropped Friday evening, and the wind was up. Very much! There was even a little rain and sleet on our menu. But it made the sky more picturesque, so I was happy.
