Here's an interesting article about opossums. Why you should brake for opossums. We may not find them very cute, but they're excellent tick destroyers.
P.S. Normally it'd be hard to get a pic of a snake like this, but it was shedding. King snake, in my opinion.

i never minded possums until they began spreading a virus that can be fatal to horses. not such a fan now...

Ah very good to know, because it seems the ticks aren't as bad as they should be, thankfully and yet anyway! Truth is I brake for living things in the road! Theda Tuesday rocks! But you knew I'd love it! If it has dogs I totally like it! Enjoy your evening.

Hello....Thank you for linking into Nature Notes this week. I love Theda... My cats do love the hunt..from inside the house that is but the screens, not so much with the holes they can put in it. I had read that about ticks somewhere and I have seen one here only once. I like them. I also like snakes and you got a good photo.. The Mr. Linky has a hard time with symbols and other languages with differing characters.. It turns them into something unreadable, so I have to take shorten your blog title in the linky. I am sorry about that...Michelle
