I've never heard one, but I'd like to think so. My contribution to Eileeninmd's Saturday's Critters #74.
I saw this butterfly the day after making this comment.

Have a nice weekend :)
a nice collection of critters :)
I don't think I have ever heard a grackle cackle either. Great series of nature shots here. Very enjoyable!
Excellent. Love them.
Great photos! I like the grackle - not given much credit for anything. Used to see hoards of them in Texas.
Have a Beautiful Day!
Peace :)
A lovely butterfly shot!
Such awesome visitors! Great shots.
We have a lot of grackles at my workplace- I always think they sound like a rusty, squeaky hinge.
Beautiful Mallard photos, I like their shadowy reflections in the pond. I looked up the grackle sounds, funny clicks and metallic whistles. I don't think they live here. I hope the swallowtails will come here soon, the flowers they like are blooming yet though.
Excellent captures.
The grackle is beautiful and I love the butterfly. I haven't seen many butterflies yet this spring.
Hello Dear friend; I LOVE the title of play with words :-) And the Tex's comment helped me understand. What a GORGEOUS butterfly photo; looks rare species, doesn't it♪
Yes, the wisteria tree I took pics at the city park turned all tree also when I stopped by on our way home from errand :-)
Thank you very much for your kind comment and wishing you a wonderful coming new week.
Sincerely from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
The grackles are quite the pests here. Dominating the feeder, sigh.
I love the wiseteria, too!
Beautiful pictures of birds and butterflies.
Well done, my compliments.
Best regards, Irma
I just realised I hadn't yet subscribed to your followers, no it's done!!
Great to see what you've got in your garden!
Your butterfly is magnificent, it looks much like the Scarce Swallowtail we have here.
Enjoy the coming week :)
I like all the photos, but especially the ducks. It's so cute!
I like all the photos, but especially the ducks. It's so cute!
I remember that Grackles have a weird sort of whistle. Is that a "grackle"?
the male and the female mallard - nice one
A very pretty set of photos!
The sunshine really shows off his beautiful colors! Enjoy your week! Hugs!
That Grackle looks a bit like a starling - same family? We have a bird in the garden which imitates our phone ringing - very annoying! Must change the ring tone!
ps - I've posted some spring flowers over at my place!
Very nice pictures ! It's a long time ago since I have seen a butterfly !
Well, if I see a starling here I know its a starling. We don't have grackles. We nearly don't have starlings, they seem to be an endangered bird now. :(
But Grackles do look beautiful!
Pretty photos....I love the full wing on the zebra butterfly!!
grackles are loud, but their noise is hard to describe. i think texwisgirl has it....
great captures of some cute critters for todays party!!!!
Nice set of critters!~
Good question about grackles cackling. ;))
I love the little butterfly. We have had a few here but they are too quick for this photographer! Great photos here!
Nice backyard visitors!
"Weird raspy voice and whistles" equals "cackle" in my book :) It was fun to have a glimpse into your world, so many thanks for being out and about to record it. The swallowtail was a joy!
Cackle, cackle, caCKLE! Hehehe!
