Spider was alive, but on a glue board produced by our new exterminator (who was our old exterminator, before he set up shop as his own sole proprietor).

He says it came from outside next to the porch, and that could be true. Or it could be sales and marketing.

Nonetheless, I took its pic...the last time I saw one, it was when I was while turning over rocks in North Carolina on family vacation trip to Jekyll Island. (I was looking for things like Black Widow spiders, of course.)

Is that Black widow spider poisonous? lethally? Is a glue board like a fly paper? Sounds a bit gruesome to me!!

But it is a beautiful butterfly! And I love Theda down a hole - we had a dog who loved holes and would disappear down if we didn't keep an eye on him and be prepared to haul him out by his back legs!!

Yes, the Black Widow is quite poisonous. Usually an adult wouldn't die from its bite, though, unless the victim has high blood pressure. The elderly and small children could also die a Black Widow bite.
