Some things are growin' on this tree!
This tiny mouse isn't grown enough to know: 1) People are scary, 2) mousies shouldn't come out in the daytime, and 3) what various sidewalk weeds taste like (thus each must be sampled).

I love lichen, and the look it gives to tree-trunks,but I was just reading in a gardening book that it can harbour diseases and should be got rid of!
There was a rat living in our compost bin, but he has been permanently dispatched.
Cute little mouse. Hope he had enough to eat.
We have mice living under the patio (which is a huge space, as the land slopes) plus assorted toads, frogs and holes for nesting robins!
Sidewalk weed doesn't give the best buzz, but he'll find out the hard way.

Yikes, not mousie! They are one creature I can do without! Seeing in real life anyway! Maybe just another reason why I love cats! They tend to the unwanted mouse peeps running where they ought not be! Ha! Ha! But my kind of cute, and also a fan of mice diets (?) I think ? we found a baby garter snake yesterday, peeking in and out of his hole until he finally slipped away for good.

Cute mouse! I rather like them when they're outside, but I'm not so friendly to them when they try to get into my laundry exhaust pipe :)
So cool how trees become centers of life in their own right, hosting other species in their shadier spots. We indeed live in a totally cool world.
