ducks ducking, geese geesing,geesing is a little swearing and splish ./ was looking at some odd circling of the sea gulls over the play ground children playing across the road today , it had me taking a very long pause from my desk ..and wondering ..of why ..low on fish in some way down by the lake a few streets down , or something of the heavy sky that would come by late after noon here , so heavy that my head that feels all was thu'd . any ideas on the birds why ?in that ..bird man .. . with a lovely smaller lake near

Great naval exercise. The mallards could be anywhere; there's hundreds here.

It's not, really, B^4. It's basically a giant mud puddle, but birds and fish like it, and given the right lighting, it looks amazing.

The Potomac River is 10 or so miles away, with a nice boat ramp in Hancock, Md. That's where we've taken the canoe.
