Carmi's Thematic Photographic 246 is Concretely.
I took a picture of this wall during construction last September. Now it's finished! (Note: bonus four lane closing fender bender law enforcement action.)
More concrete results: I first started trying to grow mountain laurels in front of the house in Berkeley Springs back in 1998 or some such (details are sketchy). It took a couple years before I learned that without a fence, Bambi will eat them in the winter. Anyways, for the first time ever, I saw flowers on one of them!
In other news, some butterflies.

Kalmia latifolia!!!!!! Yay!!
As Aunt Snow says. That's a very pretty Kalmia!
Haven't had time to get out looking for concrete this week - well done you. And as I believe I've said before, I envy you your butterflies :)
Nice flowers from the poor caged Mountain Laurels.
Thanks, people! I wasn't sure they would ever flower (not much sun in the front of the house....there are so many tall trees, and the mountain top is on that side).

These will forever be concreted into my thoughts today! Awesome, especially the butterflies, well and the Storm Drain one, why I have no idea but it rocks! All of your concrete shots are solid!!!
Nice flowers from the poor caged Mountain Laurels.
The Great Gazoogle informs me that they are poisonous (unlike their relatives, blueberries). Is Bambi OK?
Is that I-75. perchance? Cool accident...great timing, too!
Those butterflies are amazing. How do you manage to capture them so perfectly? Remarkable shooting!
Finally, some payoff for those years of toil! Time to toast the flowers, old chum.
I find that the flowers that succeed are those we pay no attention to. Those we pamper give up quickly it seems. We are still waiting for our summer butterflies to appear - none like yours though, ever.
I saw a big butterfly like your Red Spotted Purple at the beach once. It was incredibly lovely.
There was, it must be mentioned, significant quantities of LSD involved...
and there are the butterfly's again. one just landed on my lip. goose poop!
S.C., I've never found a dead Bambi out front (the larger road down at the base of the mountain is another story). But uncaged Kalmia are guaranteed a to get a crop job when snow season arrives.
Carmi, it's the "I-70/71 Corridor in Downtown Columbus".
B^4, I tried and erred and tried again. Eureka!!!
