The butterfly shot is swanky, the lantana are the floral equivalent of fruit loops, but your greatest service to humanity here isn't artistic, but your subtle warning that the squash aren't gonna take it anymore.

Those pics aren't all flowers.

It has been a kick-ass year for lantana! Ours is still going strong. I love Randal's description of it... I always thought it looked more like Trix.

I love the flat, lipstick colored pumpkins. We got a couple of those this year along with the classics.

Our pumpkins are just putting up the first leaves and looking around in a lebensraum sort of way. Gotta watch them bastards.
First he pens the mountain laurels, then he makes the pumpkins grow on top of each other, the MONSTA!!!

You may think this is weird, but one of my favorite part of the rose picture is the dead rose next to the live one (which is ZOMG, GORGEOUS, btw).

I know, Jennifer. it's very reminiscent of Abu Ghraib. Just sayin'

Sounds very Morticia Addams-esque... although I believe she merely snipped off the live bloom and put the thorny stems in the vase.

YOU ARE ALL VERY SILLY AND JUDGE MENTAL.

P.S. Those pumpkins were adopted and are doing much better in their new environment.

Yeah! That's our story and we're sticking to it! Pumpkins don't want to run free! They want to be CARVED!

Also... I saw your new shirt, thundra. I'm guessing it make for a great pick-up line.

Wait... I was going to say something about how if someone was feeling tense, they could slip into you, but that doesn't sound right.

Never mind.

Oops. I meant... shirt.

These pics will get me through those horrible gray winter days.

Thank you!

When I was 12 I sang in a Christmas 'combined schools' choir - public carol-singing around the city, etc etc. I vividly remember the embarrassment I felt when I got the verse wrong; my voice was so "strong" that everyone else was forced to sing the wrong verse too. Still blush when I think about it.

Anyways, all the girls had to wear dresses the EXACT colour of that live rose next to the dead one. Fantastic.

Lisa is perhaps not accustomed to the general foul-mindedness of many of ITTDGY's acquaintances. Or perhaps she is.

Smut....just don't read my blog so we can keep that illusion alive. ;-D
