You need to be in my yard and you'll be in goldfinch central... no mocking allowed.

I've been seeing the goldfinches more often, recently.

Usually they're after a daisy of cornflower that has gone to seed, and so are close to the ground. But they see me at the same time as I see them, and up they fly.

They're still not as paranoid as the cardinals, a cardinal would not sit on the wire like this with me looking at him or her.

Our cardinals are pretty mellow. I can be within feet of them if it's not nesting time.

So, what's Wednesday's song?

Of course, the pair of cardinals that frequent our yard really like to hang out in the bush that is right outside my office window so I can stalk them without them ever knowing...

Since Thers is still powerless, I feel like I ought to cross-post something at Whiskey Fire...I might have to go political this time.

(Of course, this also means I might never finish the post. Almost all the old drafts lying around unpublished in my 'posting' tab on blogger are political ones.)

Love the goldfinch and the butterfly.

As do I, but being a much-less well known Heart album, many people are not familiar with even the title track...
