My contribution to Eileeinmd's Saturday's Critters #113. And I'm also linking to Anni's I'd Rather Be Birdin'. Here's a view of my Canon G15 on the tripod from the 2nd floor:
And this pic was snapped using the remote shutter a few moments before or after (the A710's time isn't set exactly):
We also get an occasional mourning dove back there.
I don't think I'm getting pictures from the G15 as sharp as I used to. After all, you can see how close the camera is, and there's no shake with the tripod and remote shutter. It could be the thing has hit the ground a little too often, being a pocket camera and such as.
Mouse over pics for captions, and click them for larger versions.

enjoyable shots
Beautiful birds.
Nice! Shooting through a window is tricky. I do it all the time but I think that if light is shining on the glass, the image can be less clear.
Ohhhh... I should get out my tripod and remote for my canon... When it isn't 3 degrees...
Lindos teus cliques! beijos,chica
I think the images are super....
Too bad the camera has been dropped. But still, the bird photos are wonderful. To have them outside your window, I can't get over that. All I get from my window is sparrows. lol
Thanks for sharing this terrific post for the weekend at I'd Rather B Birdin'.
Hello, wonderful photos of the birds. They look clear to me! I always take my yardbird photos from my window. I assume that makes a difference. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Sunday, enjoy your new week ahead!
Great shots of birds. Have a lovely day!
I didn't take the first picture through the glass, I open the window.
(When I use the tripod and the remote shutter, I don't need to open a window.)

cute plate feeders.
I do like seeing your bird shots.
A great setup with the camera. Nice shots!
Have you ever tried the grab a bird and snap a picture technique?
They look pretty sharp to me! great setup, thunder.
Such beautiful birds !!!
Greetings
I like your photos, and am very interested in the tripod and remote timer. Great way to take pictures of birds.
I've had a few Cardinals and Blue Jays hanging around out back ( I think they like the treats on my outdoor Christmas tree) but I've yet to catch a good photo of them! I hope you're having a wonderful President's Day!
How cool, being able to get the camera out really close to the birds themselves, and operate them remotely. I like your shot of the male Cardinal, they are favorites of mine. Perhaps you can refine it more as time goes on....
The cardinal is very handsome! Have a great week!
That's a nice idea. Will have to try it with my wi-fi app!
Sweet little cardinals. My camera isn't working very well lately -- I want to try to wait until we get back to Oregon to replace it if we need to because no sales tax there.
