Hmmm - which summer was that, then? There have been lots around here already (2nd month of spring), but there's nothing for them to feed on yet.

Ha! Your first photo reminds me of the time I hid near where I expected a bobcat might venture. It approached but i forgot that I had not disabled the flash, and all I got were two bright spots of light!

What a sweet cat. Did you rub liver on your shoe? I love how the monarch matches the flower. We have some nice milkweed plants at one of my worksites. I should grab some seeds to plant elsewhere.
