My contribution to TexWiscGirl's Good Fences #72.
Here's one from D.C. in early July:
And another from Columbus a couple weeks later:
Would you believe Theda's right back foot and a mushroom?
How about a butterfly?
Update: I'm going to use that pic for my Weekend Butterfly #09 contribution. I have some more that might go into critters tomorrow, but none are quite as sharp.
Mouse over pics for captions, and click them for larger versions.

Nice fences. I featured a Tiger Swallowtail Wednesday. It seems like the butterflies suddenly appeared this week.

Love your fences especially love the top one and the house. Nice foot and mushroom:) B
Hello, I like the arbor and the butterfly. It is nice to see the Theda made it into the photo even in a small way. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
a pretty garden arbor and the swallowtail image is stunning!!!!
You found so many different looks from other locations. Nicely done. Glad you stopped by place.
plants just love fences :)
About the milkweed question... I asked my monarch mentor and she said.. If he gets 4 hours of sun, then he can plant common milkweed. Swamp will tolerate less sun. Poke Milkweed will take part sun." .... I can probably get seeds....I have to look into poke milkweed at that doesn't grow here...
Sweet little fence and pretty butterfly but Thedas leg steals the show!
Pretty garden, fence, mushroom with Thedas leg and of course the pretty butterfly and flower.
I've started a collection of 'fence shots', because I enjoy yours so much. Have to admit I don't have much yet, because it's still winter here - but I'm optimistic!
I enjoyed this very nice collection of photos.
Thad is mindful of the mushroom I see :)
Have a Beautiful Day!
Peace :)
Charming fence shots. I love the vine-covered one. Lovely butterfly shot also.
