Octavia Report

Carmi's Thematic Photographic 326 is White for winter. Winter Storm Octavia came through last night. I did some shoveling this morning.

Monsieur Sparrow got stuck on the screen porch. He was not happy about it. (Lots more great birdie pics at Stewart M.'s Wild Bird Wednesday 136.)

Mouse over pics for captions, and click them for larger versions.

Theda has it right, stay in where it's warm and sleep on the carpet!

Brrr, looks so cold but the captures are great especially your dog keeping warm and relaxed.

Pawprints great! But Theda definitely has the right idea!

Could Theda be dreaming of Spring? Thanks for sharing.

Theda knows how to ride out a snowstorm.

Theda's paw prints show she has checked out the property. Job done, she's entitled to her rest.
Feed the sparrow if he's stuck.

Oh gosh, Theda is so cute and very wise. It only figures that you got a lot of that white stuff, while we're (meaning me) is experiencing not just a bit of Brrr! from the frozen tundra, but we (me) are in a windchill advisory even. Boo-Hoo!

I loved your comment on how and what my title, White - TP brought to mind. I should maybe change it! Totally funny!

Hope the sparrow escaped.

There is a small flocks of this species in a railways station here - I wonder if they ever go outside!
