JohnR said...: Just dropping in here (as opposed to Thers' place) to announce that Spring is at last here. We've had signs of sparrow movement recently (temporary influxes of Juncos and then of Song Sparrows), but this morning the first Grackle of Spring appeared. That's it for winter, and I hope you had a chance to see one of the Snowy Owls and oddball waterfowl that have been all over the place this winter! They'll be leaving us soon, I suspect.

As for our oddball waterfowl, the Muscovy Ducks...I think the second bout of zero degree temperatures did them in. They went from 5 to 3 to 1, and I haven't seen any in a few weeks.
